Darren Harrison is a British-American novelist, former journalist, editor and U.S. Army veteran. Born in Hexham, England, he grew up in Bellingham, a small village in the Northumberland border country.
An enthusiastic reader from an early age, Darren began with Enid Blyton's Famous Five and Adventure novels before discovering the espionage and adventure thrillers of Alistair MacLean, Ian Fleming and Hammond Innes. Each year, Bellingham's village fĂȘte featured a secondhand bookstall, where he spent his pocket money on armfuls of battered paperbacks. It was among those old Pan editions that he first discovered Fleming and MacLean, whose storytelling would have a lasting influence on his ambitions as a writer.
Darren now lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where he works as a technical writer. The Hunt for the Arctic Fox is his second novel and the first in the Arctic Fox Series. He is currently writing the next adventure, The Trail of the Arctic Fox.
